Love Language
We made a reality TV dating show on Peacock…sort of.
Introducing Love Language, a new reality TV dating show from Peacock and Duolingo where the hottest singles in the world share a house in paradise in hopes of finding true love. The catch? None of them speak the same language.
Featuring stars from around the world like Francesca Farago, the show forces bikini-clad contestants to learn a new tongue in more ways than one. Couples must complete challenges and ultimately speak each other’s love language for a chance to win the grand prize. If learners fail to do their daily language lessons or find a match by the end of an episode, they are eliminated by the show’s iconic host and merciless judge, the Duolingo Owl.
We launched Love Language to the world with an official trailer on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and even in the Peacock TV app! Then, we promoted it through increasingly unhinged social content like a “Meet the Cast” and Duo the Owl getting wild on set as well as influencer, owned, and earned media.
This legendary April Fools’ prank pulled in millions of impressions, top-tier press coverage, and had both fans and media execs alike demanding to make it real. I served as Creative Lead and Writer on the campaign, but maybe one day I can even become the show-runner if it gets made for real…
Oh in addition to the hero video script, I also wrote some silly copy for the Love Language landing page.
